Darci Jackson

Hi! My name is Darci and I'm from Stoke-on-Trent. I have recently graduated from the University of Salford with a First Class Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Studying in Salford for three years in Media City has given me invaluable opportunities, including completing two weeks of work experience with the team at BBC Morning Live, as well as being part of BBC Radio 1's Christmas Presenters Takeover 2025.​​

​

My radio show 'The Dizzy Indie Hour' which I presented and produced in my final term of university won me two awards at the 2025 Shock Radio Awards; Presenter of the Year and Best Daytime Show, which I believe is a culmination of my hard work and creating multiple shows on student radio during my studies.

​

I have also recently been accepted onto the John Schofield Trust Scheme for young aspiring journalist and have had the opportunity to help out the Billboard UK social media team at their Global Power Players Event, as well as conducting red carpet interviews at the 2025 Mercury Prize for DIY Magazine
