TV
Here you can find examples of my on screen work such as episodes of Dizzy on Demand along with packages I have made and produced for Quays News and my Final Major Project
Dizzy On Demand
Dizzy on Demand aired on Quays TV, a music programme featuring up and coming
bands which was an off-shoot from Dizzy Magazine. I co-presented this show, as well as writing scripts and being responsible for organisation (ensuring bands arrived safely and efficiently, that people knew what they were supposed to be doing and were looked after etc.) during the filming day. I also then edited the shows myself ready to be uploaded. You can find examples of some of the shows below.
Final Major Project
For my final major journalism project, I created a three part mini docuseries called Her Sound about women in the music industry, from artists and bands, to promoters and photographers, I pretty much covered it all. You can check out all three episodes below.
Quays News
During newsdays, I created my own TV packages to air on Quays News. I researched the topics, wrote my own scripts, conduct original interviews, self shot as well as edited and producing the piece using Adobe PremierePro. I also sometimes combined my packages with other treatments such as live in studio segments
Northern Music Awards
The first year of the Northern Music Awards took place in Manchester, and although I didn't have the chance to attend, I turned this package around on the day, by using clips from another journalist, as well as setting up the interview with one of the awards winners during the newsday. I finished this with an in studio segment to bring the piece together
NBHD Festival
NBHD Festival returned to the city centre as Manchester's biggest multi-venue festival. I previewed the event with an interview from one of the bands performing Denver County Council, as well as filming and editing a variety of shots (including pieces to camera) to give a detailed account of what the event is
Christmas Markets
As we move towards the end of the year, the Manchester Christmas markets become a staple in the city centre. But is there a cheaper alternative elsewhere? I headed to Stockport to compare the two, as well as getting vox pops and adding wild track to make this piece as festival and entertaining as possible
